Corona virus infection rates continue to drop in Okinawa. In the latest numbers released by the prefectural government, there were 783 new cases on Wednesday, March 9th compared to the previous Wednesday’s 966 positives. The figure brings Okinawa total since the pandemic began to 106,661.
Meanwhile, there were 16 new cases of infection among US military personnel on the island on the same day. This was an increase of one from Tuesday and brought the reported cases from the US military bases to 106,661.
